People have asked me "if I am overwhelmed with where to start when it comes to getting organized - what's a good place to start?" The answer quite honestly varies based on the person asking this and what is going on in their lives BUT I always offer this suggestion: the simple act of getting your purse or daily tote bag sorted is a one place to start. Number one reason, it's a small and manageable project and second, it's something we use every day so there is a big payoff. Again, there's no one perfect way for each person/ purse BUT I really recommend the following as something to consider. The little "quilted black clutch" in the first photo was purchased at Staples for about $6. It looks nicer than some of my wallets/purses but really in fact it's a coupon organizer - upon opening you see its chock full of dividers and pockets. I use this to free up my wallet/keep it small so that my wallet can be grabbed to put in a small purse for an evening out. In the black organizer, I keep my ear buds in the first pocket to keep them from getting tangled in my bag, and then it holds all non-essential cards, such as rewards cards, gift cards, other random pieces of needed papers and of course, it also holds my coupons. I especially like having a place to hold gift cards so I'll have them while out and about vs. sitting at home in a drawer. It's simple, cheap and it works!
